On November 3, 2019, Bandari's Caf Confederation Cup sojourn came to a halt after losing 5-2 on aggregate to Guinean side Horoya AC in the play-off stage.

The Dockers, who lost 4-2 in the first leg in Conakry a week ago, wasted a glut of chances in the return leg and were ultimately made to pay by Horoya's experienced strikers.

Bandari tactician Bernard Mwalala praised the team's effort but rued missed chances, stating, 'We could have won the game in the first half. We missed so many chances while Horoya just got one and used it well. They have experienced strikers and I feel that is what we lacked.'

Despite starting strongly, Bandari failed to capitalize on their chances, with Abdallah Hassan and Yema Mwamba both wasting opportunities to put the team ahead.

Horoya, on the other hand, capitalized on their chances, with Mandela Ocansey scoring the decisive goal in the 64th minute after Dramane Nikiema played him through with a lobbed pass.

Bandari made several changes in an attempt to boost their attack, but it was too little, too late. The team's exit from the tournament was met with pride from Mwalala, who stated, 'We have exited the tournament like warriors and I am proud of the journey.'
