On Sunday, November 3, 2019, a luxury cruise ship, MS Albatros, docked at the port of Mombasa, bringing with it 446 passengers and 346 crew members.

The ship, which set sail from Zanzibar on Saturday, is on a cruise that will take it to Seychelles after a 15-hour layover in Mombasa.

During their visit, the tourists planned to explore various destinations in and around Mombasa old town, including Shimba Hills and Tsavo National Park.

MS Albatros became the first passenger cruise ship to dock at Mombasa's new world-class cruise ship terminal this year, marking a significant milestone for the tourism industry.

According to Inchcape Shipping Line Operations Manager Bwanaheri Omar, the completion of the cruise ship terminal comes in time for the cruise high season, indicating that Mombasa is slowly becoming a cruise destination of choice in the region.
