Published on November 3, 2019, the ongoing war between Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi and Members of County Assembly (MCAs) has taken a messy turn.

The residents of a Nairobi ward woke up to find their streets, walkways, and markets turned into dumpsites, with human waste and garbage scattered all over.

According to sources, the Ward Representative was being punished for refusing to toe the line and let go of the county assembly war involving the assembly's speaker.

Some youths in the area expressed their disappointment, saying that politicians often promise youth tenders and government jobs but fail to deliver after getting elected.
