On November 2, 2019, US President Donald Trump was loudly booed at a UFC fight in New York, the second time in a week he faced loud jeers at a sporting event.
Trump attended the UFC fight night at Madison Square Garden, where he was met with loud jeers and chants from the crowd.
Although there were no chants of 'lock him up' like at the World Series baseball game the previous weekend, the crowd's disapproval was evident.
Many mixed martial arts fans, however, clapped and cheered as Trump took his seat just 15 feet from the cage where the UFC was set to award the 'BMF' belt.
Outside the venue, several dozen protesters carried placards with slogans such as 'Trump/Pence Out Now!' and 'Headlock Him Up' as they demonstrated against the president's attendance.
