Manchester City's late surge secured a 2-1 win over Southampton at the Etihad Stadium on November 2, 2019, as Sergio Aguero and Kyle Walker scored crucial goals.
Southampton took the lead in the 13th minute through James Ward-Prowse, but Manchester City dominated possession, with 14 goal attempts before halftime, none of which were on target.
Southampton's defense held firm, but Aguero finally broke the deadlock in the 70th minute, turning in Walker's cross for the equalizer.
Walker sealed the win in the 87th minute, sliding the ball home after Angelino's cross.
Manchester City's joy was short-lived, however, as Liverpool won 2-1 at Aston Villa, preserving their six-point lead at the top of the Premier League.
Southampton's victory over Manchester City was a testament to their grit and determination, as they responded to their 9-0 defeat by Leicester City the previous week.
"It was a crazy game to play, scoring was one of those crazy moments. It's always hard playing against 11 behind the ball," said Walker, who scored his first goal of the season.
"We kept knocking on the door and thankfully for me the door came open and I was the one that got the goal," he added.
