On a night of high tension at the Emirates, Wolverhampton Wanderers drew 1-1 with Arsenal, piling pressure on the Gunners' manager Unai Emery.
Emery's decision to leave out captain Granit Xhaka from the squad in an attempt to ease the tension between players and supporters was met with skepticism, as Arsenal's performance failed to show any great improvement.
Despite the return of Mesut Ozil, who made just his second Premier League start of the season, the German failed to make a significant impact, and Arsenal relied heavily on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for inspiration.
Aubameyang opened the scoring in the 21st minute, but Wolves fought back to earn a well-deserved draw, with Raul Jimenez's header 14 minutes from time proving to be the equalizer.
Emery's decision to start Ozil was seen as a response to the Xhaka controversy, but it was Aubameyang who continued to be the driving force behind Arsenal's attack.
However, despite their best efforts, Arsenal were unable to find a winner, and the final whistle was met with boos from the disgruntled home fans.
