On October 3, 2019, Dr. Miguna Miguna, a Canadian-based lawyer, took to social media to launch a scathing attack on Kisumu Governor Professor Peter Anyang' Nyong'o.
According to Dr. Miguna's posts, Professor Nyong'o is accused of being wealthy, having stolen hundreds of millions of public money when he was Health Minister, and continuing to steal millions of public money as Kisumu Governor.
Dr. Miguna also alleged that Professor Nyong'o was convicted by the High Court of contempt for grabbing land from his nephews and that he is mean to an extent of starving his driver for 8 hours.
Dr. Miguna frequently uses social media to attack and criticize Kenyan leaders, describing them as despots.
