Kenyan golfer Justus Madoya made a stunning comeback to win the Entebbe Open title at the Entebbe Golf Club course on November 2, 2019. Madoya, who took the lead in the second round, fired a final round score of three under par 68, for an all-round total of nine under par 275.
He picked up two birdies at the first nine's third and sixth holes, and dropped a shot at the 10th, but managed to compensate with two more birdies at the back nine's 13th and 18th holes. Madoya earned Sh150,000 for his victory.
"I am so happy to win this event, I believe it is the kind of motivation I needed, going into the two next two events, the Pam Golding Serena Safari Open next week and the Malawi open," said Madoya.
He praised the condition of the course, saying the greens were compressed to suit his game. Dismas Indiza of Mumias Golf Club finished second with a one under par 283, while Herman Mutawe of Uganda was the best Ugandan with a level par 284.
