On November 1, 2019, a tragic incident unfolded in West Pokot, where a police officer killed his elderly father with an arrow.

When police officers arrived at the scene, they were met with a desperate situation: the suspect, who was the officer's son, attempted to grab a firearm from one of the responding officers.

According to a police statement, the slain officer's father had visited his son from their rural home in Kakamega on the fateful day.

As the police tried to establish the motive behind the heinous crime, they were left with more questions than answers.

Both the suspect and his father were taken to Kapenguria county hospital mortuary, where they awaited postmortem examination.
