DP Ruto and Akothee in Lucrative Business Deal

Deputy President William Ruto has partnered with singer and entrepreneur Akothee in a lucrative business deal, with Akothee set to promote and market Weston Hotel, owned by Ruto.

According to sources, the deal between Weston Hotel and Akothee was revealed in an interview on Radio Citizen Mseto East Africa programme hosted by Willy Tuva.

Akothee, who is also the CEO of Akothee Safaris and founder of Akothee Foundation, stated that she does not hate negative publicity and that it is a necessary part of her business.

'If I am not abused,' she said, 'my business would be dead. I don’t hate negative publicity. That’s why when my haters go silent, I poke them. I can even call them Idiot.'

As part of her role as ambassador for Weston Hotel, Akothee will be promoting and marketing the hotel in and outside the country.

Weston Hotel is owned by Deputy President William Ruto, who has interests in a number of hotels in Nairobi, including 680 Hotel in the city centre.

The Akothee brand is clearly being recognized, perhaps because of her ability to attract lots of attention and, often, get out the winner.

Other clients of Akothee include Silverstone Air, Premier Foods – Peptang brand, and Akothee Homes, a real estate business.
