On November 2, 2019, a bizarre incident unfolded at Kilimani Estate in Nairobi, where a 25-year-old thief, James Irungu, was arrested for abandoning his mission to steal valuables.
Irungu had gained access to the couple's house through a window and was supposed to steal valuables, but he was distracted by the sweet noises coming from the bedroom.
He explained that he couldn't resist the temptation and decided to investigate, where he was met with a 'delicious scene' of the couple making love.
'I wanted to do my job and go my way without harming anyone, but the type of noises I heard were enough to attract even a deaf person,' Irungu said, smiling.
Despite his initial intentions, Irungu found himself watching the couple for an extended period, eventually falling asleep in the process.
He was later discovered by the couple, Mr. Peter Oludhe and his wife, who had finished their lovemaking session by 4 a.m.
Irungu was granted bail in the sum of Ksh 100,000 with two sureties in like sum and was ordered to be remanded in prison custody pending when he perfects his bail conditions.
