Tarania Clarke, a talented 22-year-old Jamaica women's football star, was tragically stabbed to death in her hometown of Kingston on October 31, 2019.
According to reports, the incident occurred following a dispute between Clarke and another woman over a mobile phone.
Clarke, who had recently graduated from Excelsior High School, was set to leave for the USA in 2020 to attend Daytona University in Florida.
She had made her Jamaica debut just a few weeks prior, scoring a goal in a 13-goal thriller against Cuba on September 30.
The Jamaica Football Federation has expressed its profound sadness at Clarke's passing, describing it as 'hurting'.
Her coach, Gilbert, has also paid tribute to Clarke, describing her as a 'wonderful leader' and 'wonderful person'.
Police have confirmed the incident and assured that the perpetrator will be brought to justice.
