Published on November 2, 2019, Rashid Abdalla, a Kiswahili news anchor at Citizen television, credits his wife Lulu Hassan for helping him change his ways.

In an interview with Larry Madowo, a former Nation Media news reporter, Rashid revealed that his wife made him the man he is today.

He shared that he was big-headed and cared less about other people's opinions until he met Lulu Hassan, a media personality.

According to Rashid, he was on a job-seeking mission when he heard Lulu giving directions at a local radio station and realized they were meant to be.

He further narrated that he was naughty and would not be where he is today if he had not met Lulu, who changed his life.

Part of Rashid's statement reads, 'It's similar to someone who has eaten an egg or someone who has used a matchstick, if they take the box and leave you with the cover, it won't be useful but if you take both of them, they will help you.'

He added, 'If you want to live with someone, look at their weaknesses and ask yourself if you can change it or if you can live with it. If you can live with their problems then you will stick together.'
