Ezekiel Mutua Demands Google Remove Tarimbo Song by Ethic Entertainment

On November 1, 2019, Ezekiel Mutua, the chairman of the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB), took to his Facebook page to express his discontent with the song Tarimbo by Ethic Entertainment.

According to Mutua, the song contains explicit content that is demeaning to women, and he has ordered Google to remove it from the internet.

"I have spoken to Google and instructed them to remove the song Tarimbo by Ethic Entertainment from the internet because it contains explicit content that is demeaning to women. Such content is a hate crime," Mutua said.

Mutua also instructed the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to arrest the members of Ethic Entertainment, citing the need to uphold the constitution.

He also criticized those who have defended the song, saying they are hypocrites who claim to be artists but are actually promoting immorality.

"These groups of Wamlambez and Tarimbo are not artists. They are thieves who have hidden behind art to promote immorality and undermine the values of our society," Mutua said.

Mutua has called on people with good morals to stand up against such content and to report anyone who promotes it.
