On Friday, the Los Angeles Lakers stunned the Dallas Mavericks 119-110 in a thrilling overtime match.

LeBron James, a 15-time NBA All-Star, dominated the game with a season-high 39 points, 16 assists, and 12 rebounds.

"After the injury last year, I wasn't myself," James reflected. "I heard it all. I heard it all from my year 17. Is this the last we've seen of LeBron? He's not very good at defense."

James' impressive performance in overtime, including a three-point play after drawing a foul on a layup, gave the Lakers a 110-103 lead.

James also addressed the common misconception about his defensive skills, stating, "You can't single me out on defense because I am in tune with that side as well. It is important for me."

Notably, Mavericks star Luka Doncic achieved his 10th career triple-double with 31 points, 15 assists, and 13 rebounds, making him the youngest player in history to reach this milestone.

Anthony Davis contributed 31 points and eight rebounds to the Lakers' win, while Lakers reserve Dwight Howard was involved in two contentious plays near the end of the game that could have resulted in calls against the Lakers.
