On Friday, President Uhuru Kenyatta welcomed students from three schools to State House, Nairobi, where he emphasized the need for equal education opportunities for all Kenyan children.

During the visit, the President, who had recently returned from Saudi Arabia, told the students that every Kenyan child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their location.

"There is no place called far in Kenya. Everywhere in Kenya is part of Kenya. And it is the responsibility of any decent government to ensure that our children wherever they may be feel that they are treated in exactly the same way as their colleagues and counterparts in other parts of the country," the President said.

The students were from Thika School for the Visual Impaired in Kiambu County, Archbishop Eliud Wabukala ACK Malakisi High School in Bungoma County, and Nyiro Girls' Secondary School from Baragoi, Samburu County.

President Kenyatta presented the students with school buses and encouraged them to work hard, upholding values of integrity, honesty, and discipline.

He also cautioned them against cheating in examinations, stating that his administration would ensure 100 percent transition to secondary school.

"If that is our promise, why do you have to cheat?" President Kenyatta posed.
