Jose Mourinho has been out of management since his sacking by Manchester United in 2018, but has hinted at a return to the game.
With results continuing to go against Arsenal, the north London club has become a potential destination for the Portuguese manager.
According to reports, Mourinho wants to become the first man to win major honors with three separate clubs in the English top flight, and Arsenal appears to be his best bet to achieve this goal.
However, Mourinho wouldn't have big money to spend at the Emirates, which could impact his transfer plans.
Assuming he takes the reins at Arsenal, here's a possible starting XI for the Portuguese manager:
Goalkeeper: Bernd Leno - A safe pair of hands who would likely keep his place under Mourinho.
Right-back: Hector Bellerin - One of the more experienced players at Arsenal, Mourinho would have him work on his defensive positioning.
Centre-back: David Luiz - Mourinho sold the Brazilian to PSG when he had him at Chelsea, but the Portuguese does know how to handle Luiz.
Centre-back: Eric Bailly - Mourinho signed the center-back when he was at Manchester United and he looked good until an injury derailed his progress.
Left-back: Kieran Tierney - A Mourinho left-back if ever there was one, the young and hard-working Scot would flourish under the Portuguese.
Defensive midfielder: Lucas Torreira - The Uruguay international is hit and miss under Emery, but Mourinho would welcome his tenacity.
Central midfielder: Axel Witsel - A Mourinho midfielder if ever there was one, the Portuguese tried to sign Witsel for Manchester United.
Attacking midfielder: Mesut Ozil - Out in the cold under Emery, Ozil loves it at Arsenal and is desperate for something to change.
Right winger: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Mourinho has spoken out about the Gabon international this season and would almost certainly play him out wide for Arsenal.
Left winger: Nicolas Pepe - Arsenal paid big money for Pepe, and while that isn't Mourinho's problem, he would likely find a way to utilise him in his starting XI.
Striker: Alexandre Lacazette - Another player who has been discussed by Mourinho in the Sky Sports studio, and the man who would likely lead his line.
