Published on November 1, 2019, a woman claiming to be the wife of the former CEO of Equity Bank, John Kagema, has requested that his body be exhumed for DNA testing.

The woman, Serah Wanjiru, said she married Kagema in 2007 and wants her two children to be included in the distribution of his wealth.

"It's good that DNA tests are done for all the children who claim Kagema is their father, so it will be easy to distribute the wealth," Wanjiru said.

However, Wanjiru's lawyer, George Kimani, told the court that he might not accept DNA tests from Kagema's children.

Kimani claimed that only the mother of the child knows the father.

It has been reported that three women are fighting over the multi-million shilling estate of the late businessman Kagema, who owned the luxurious Enashipai Spa and Resort in Naivasha.
