On November 1, 2019, Betika launched a countrywide program aimed at promoting responsible betting and improving sporting culture among Kenyan youth.

The initiative, dubbed 'Betika na Community', seeks to engage the public and key stakeholders in the sporting sector to create an atmosphere of talents and skills development in sports and arts.

According to John Mbatia, the firm's head of commercial, the program will be rolled out in all 47 counties, with Machakos County being the pioneer ground.

Speaking at the launch event at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, Mbatia said the company will also promote arts and culture as emerging avenues for youth talent development.

'As Betika, we believe we can influence positive change among the youth through creating an atmosphere of talents and skills development in sports as well as in the components of the arts and culture,' Mbatia said.

As part of the initiative, Betika has organized a football tournament that brings together 16 teams from Machakos County, with the final match to be played at the Machakos Stadium on Sunday.
