Published on October 31, 2019, Migori Youth FC, a National Super League side, is making a remarkable comeback after a two-year drought. The team has won seven of their first eleven matches, a testament to their growing strength.

Under the guidance of coach Robert Ojienda, a former Sony Sugar player, and assistant coach Kevin Oluoch, a former Gor Mahia player, the team has been on a roll. Their recent 1-0 win over Nairobi Stima marked the end of the latter's unbeaten run, a significant victory for Migori Youth.

Despite facing financial challenges, the team's chairman, Abdi Aziz, remains committed to taking Migori Youth to the Kenya Premier League for the first time. In an interview with Standard Sports, Aziz emphasized the club's determination to overcome financial obstacles and achieve their goal.

"We are in good form this season despite losing two matches in the seven played, but I am confident we will be getting stronger as the season continues," Aziz said. "We are trying to sort the players, but urge for help to motivate the players further," he added.

The club has a rich history of producing Kenya Premier League stars, including Enock Agwanda, Dan Makori, and Absalom Aduda. Club captain Clifford Otieno expressed his team's resolve to follow in the footsteps of Kisumu All Stars, who achieved promotion last season despite facing challenges.

"Kisumu did it last season with challenges. All we have come to realize is that success doesn’t come easy and therefore we are going to try our best to make it to the top league," Otieno said.
