Published on October 31, 2019, Gor Mahia FC is set to face Motema Pembe in the CAF Confederations Cup play-Offs match this Sunday in Kinshasa, DRC.
The match will be a crucial one for Gor Mahia, as they seek to seal a group stage berth for the third consecutive season. To achieve this, they must win or register a draw of more than two goals to qualify.
According to reports, Gor Mahia will depart for Kinshasa on Friday, two days before the encounter. This is in contrast to Motema Pembe, who camped in Rwanda for 3 days before their first leg match.
Motema Pembe currently have an advantage in the tie after a 1-1 draw in the first leg played at the Kasarani stadium on Sunday. Gor Mahia must now win or draw by more than two goals to qualify for the group stages and receive 27 million shillings for preparations.
Meanwhile, Gor Mahia's counterparts Bandari will face Horoya of Guinea at the Kasarani stadium on Sunday. Bandari must overcome the two-goal deficit in order to qualify for the group stages of the event.
