Startupbootcamp AfriTech Selects Top 10 African Startups for 2019 Pitch ¶
On November 7, 2019, Startupbootcamp AfriTech will host its third edition of the SBC AfriTech series, featuring the top 10 African startups selected for its 2019 pitch.
The selected startups showcase innovative solutions across various sectors, including financial services, retail, agriculture, property, big data, and commerce.
Among the selected startups are Asilimia, a Kenyan company that makes mobile money cheaper and easier to use for informal traders, and Cinnamon Clubs, a Ugandan startup that helps treasurers of savings and investment clubs automate their bookkeeping.
Other notable startups include Curacel Systems, a Nigerian health claims switch powered by AI fraud detection, and Databotics, a South African company that opens up the power of robotic process automation to the SME market.
HouseAfrica Blockchain, a Nigerian blockchain-based land registry, and Rentoza, a South African marketplace for renting premium goods, are also part of the selected startups.
Snapslip Holdings, a South African company that eradicates paper receipts by sending them digitally to customers, and Survey54, a UK-based survey intelligence platform, are also among the selected startups.
Yobante Express, a Senegalese web and mobile platform that connects e-commerce retailers with independent and casual couriers, and YouFarm, a Zimbabwean startup that provides farmers with access to collateral-free finance, complete the list of selected startups.
These startups have achieved notable milestones, including winning awards, securing investments, and piloting innovative solutions.
