KBC and KFC Partner to Boost Youth Talent in Kenya

On October 31, 2019, the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) and the Kenya Film Commission (KFC) signed a landmark agreement to implement the Studio Mashinani Project, a initiative aimed at empowering the youth to realize and exploit their talents.

According to Dr. Naim Bilal, the Managing Director of KBC, the corporation will play a pivotal role in audio-visual production and marketing of content created by the youth.

"We aim to utilize the abundant talent of young people by ensuring recording studios are within reach," Dr. Bilal emphasized.

The Kenya Film Commission CEO, Timothy Owase, echoed Dr. Bilal's sentiments, highlighting the importance of quality content and urging parents to support their children who are willing to venture into the creative arts industry.

Through this partnership, KBC and KFC aim to create synergy in advancing the audiovisual sector in the country, resulting in more job opportunities and wealth for the youth.
