On October 31, 2019, Glovo, a leading courier service company, announced a strategic partnership with News Cafe, a South African high-end restaurant chain, to expand its market footprint in Kenya.

The partnership aims to cater to varied clients within Nairobi, enabling Glovo to deliver News Cafe products to its customers across the city.

According to Glovo's General Manager for Kenya, William Benthall, the partnership will benefit News Cafe's customers while positioning Glovo as a visible brand in the market.

"We are proud of this partnership and we look forward to delivering News Cafe products to our consumers spread across Nairobi," said Benthall.

"Our desire to be the top-of-mind delivery app necessitated our entry into this partnership and we look forward to enabling our new consumer base access News Cafe products from wherever they are in Nairobi," he added.

The partnership is in line with Glovo's strategy to link customers with niche outlets, including Java House Africa, Artcaffe, Simbisa Brands, Zucchini Greengrocers, Naivas, and Onn the Way Supermarkets.
