On October 31, 2019, former Kasarani MP Elizabeth Ongoro presented herself at the EACC headquarters after being summoned over alleged embezzlement of Sh48.9 million CDF money meant for the construction of a school.

According to the EACC, the project was conceptualized by a CDF committee, but payments were made to non-existent entities and individuals associated with the National Government Constituency Development Fund patron and committee members.

The EACC has accused Ongoro and her husband Ferdinand Masha, along with 18 other individuals, of misappropriating Sh48.9 million meant for the Kasarani Girls High School project.

The suspects face charges of conspiracy to commit an offense of corruption, misappropriation of public funds, abuse of office, engaging in a project without prior planning, unlawful acquisition of public property, wilful failure to comply with public procurement law, and dealing with suspect property.
