On October 31, 2019, GSU officer Antony Kilonzo appeared in Milimani law court to face charges related to the murder of a mother and daughter in Machakos.
According to reports, Kilonzo pleaded guilty to the charges, confessing to the crime and revealing that he was approached by a friend to help with the murder.
As reported by the court, Kilonzo stated, “I was approached by a friend to go help do the job of killing the woman.”
However, Magistrate Muthoni Nzibe stopped Kilonzo from continuing with his confession, directing him to seek legal representation.
The court also ordered Kilonzo to undergo a mental assessment, and he was detained at Kilimani police station for 21 days to allow for further investigations.
Investigations officer Ezekiel Ngode revealed that Kilonzo led them to recover two rifles used in the murder of the two victims.
