On October 31, 2019, a court heard the shocking details of a murder case that left a community reeling.
Roderick Deakin-White, 38, is accused of bludgeoning his fiancée Amy Parsons to death at their home in London after discovering she was having an affair with a work colleague, James Saunders.
According to court documents, Deakin-White and Parsons had been together for several years before Parsons became unhappy with Deakin-White's cross-dressing fetish.
After learning of Parsons' affair with Saunders, Deakin-White sent a flurry of angry messages to friends, calling Saunders a 'bastard, creep, and bloody nobhead.'
Parsons, who had grown up in Australia and had been living in the UK for many years, had been providing financial support to Deakin-White, who did not work.
She paid the rent for their flat every month and had been his emotional and financial support system.
However, Parsons had begun to feel increasingly unhappy in the relationship and had started seeing Saunders, a colleague at work, a few weeks before her death.
Deakin-White has admitted to manslaughter but denies murder.
