October 31, 2019, will be a day Mike Mondo, a Classic 105 radio presenter, will never forget. The presenter had just relocated to Nairobi from Mombasa and was living with an aunt in Nairobi West.

Mike had just come from a job-hunting mission and had only 20 shillings on him. He was new in town and still getting accustomed to the city's ways.

While traveling along Uhuru Highway, Mike's matatu developed a mechanical problem near a train station. The driver advised the passengers to wait for another car, but Mike was not willing to wait.

Mike requested the conductor to give him back his Ksh 20 so that he could walk. The conductor obliged, and Mike started walking towards home.

However, his journey took a dramatic turn when he was ambushed by three people and taken to the Makaburini cemetery. Mike was left half-naked, with only a vest and boxers on.

He walked from the cemetery to Nairobi West, a distance of several kilometers, with one of the men holding a knife. Mike described the experience as the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to him.

He also shared his experience with Terry Muikamba, who had a similar incident where her phone was snatched, and her loop earrings were pulled out, leaving her ear badly hurt.
