On Tuesday, Sarah Wairimu appeared in court, requesting the release of her car and personal belongings from their Sh400m marital home in Kitisuru, a property valued at Sh400 million.

According to her lawyer, Philip Murgor, Sarah has been relying on relatives and friends for clothing and transportation, as she does not have any clothes of her own.

Mr. Murgor argued that moving around without a car is expensive and that Sarah needs to access her personal belongings, including clothes, shoes, and accessories, from her bedroom.

He further requested that the court grant permission for a visit to the house in Sarah's presence to take an inventory of the items she needs.

However, State Counsel Catherine Mwaniki opposed the request, citing that the house is a crime scene and that Sarah cannot be allowed in the house.

Ms. Mwaniki also argued that the vehicle is an exhibit in the case because it was used by the deceased Dutch businessman, Tob Cohen.

Justice Stella Mutuku directed Mr. Murgor to file a formal application listing the items Sarah needs, and the matter will be mentioned on Tuesday next week for a ruling on other issues raised by the parties.
