On October 24, 2019, a 12-year-old boy's life was forever changed when he was kidnapped and sodomized in Nakuru's Flamingo Estate.
Edward Kariuki, the accused, appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Eunice Kelly on Tuesday, charged with the heinous crime.
Prosecutor Rita Rotich told the court that Kariuki had kidnapped the boy while he was on his way home at 5 pm and forced him into a saloon car.
The accused then took the minor to a house in Flamingo Estate and committed the act of sodomy.
Magistrate Kelly released the accused on a Sh500,000 bond, with the case set to be mentioned on November 5.
