Published on October 31, 2019, Jubilee party officials have been making promises to grassroots campaigners in the Kibra constituency, assuring them of plum jobs if McDonald Mariga wins the forthcoming by-election.

However, some Jubilee Members of County Assembly (MCAs) have expressed skepticism about these promises, citing the party's failure to fulfill its pledges in the last general elections.

According to the MCAs, many of their friends who worked tirelessly for the party during the general polls are still jobless, despite President Uhuru Kenyatta's victory.

The MCAs warned the happy campaigners not to put their hopes in the promises, citing the nine pledged stadia that were never built.

One of the MCAs concluded by saying the promises are empty and that he will not be surprised if the party abandons those currently working tirelessly to popularize Jubilee aspirant Mariga, even if he wins the Kibra poll.
