On October 30th, 2019, the Canadian government issued 3,900 Express Entry candidates with Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence.
The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for the draw was 475.
With this latest draw, the total number of ITAs issued by Canada through the Express Entry system in 2019 has reached 71,700, surpassing the government's target of 84,400 ITAs for the year.
The Express Entry program allows foreign nationals to enter a pool of candidates in hopes of being selected and invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
Candidates are ranked based on the CRS score, which takes into account factors such as age, education, skills level, work experience, proficiency in English or French, and family ties to Canada.
Those selected through the Express Entry draw are issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA), which gives them the opportunity to apply for permanent residence along with their qualifying relatives, including spouses and dependent children.
