On October 30, 2019, Sarah Cohen's lawyer, Philip Murgor, made an oral application to the court seeking permission for his client to access her Kitusuru home.

According to Murgor, Sarah Cohen has been forced to buy new clothes and rely on lifts from friends and relatives due to her inability to access her home.

She is seeking permission to retrieve her personal car, which has never been a part of the case, and other personal items from her bedroom.

The prosecution, led by State Prosecutor Catherine Mwaniki, objected to the application, citing that the items in the house are part of the exhibit and cannot be released to Sarah Cohen until the investigation is complete.

Justice Stella Mutuku declined to issue any orders, instead directing Sarah Cohen to file a formal application, which will be heard next Tuesday.
