Sendy, a logistics platform that recently secured a $2m funding round, has announced its plans to leverage artificial intelligence to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs in East Africa.
According to Sendy's Vice President of Data & Growth, Mr. Marvin Kirschner, the company aims to use machine learning and AI to create efficiencies in the logistics sector by accurately predicting delivery times and reducing costs for its clients.
Sendy's adoption of AI is part of its efforts to improve the delivery process and route optimization through machine learning. The company is working with data collected over many years to gather insights and improve different areas of the delivery process.
“As a logistics and data-driven organization, investing in machine learning and artificial intelligence is a key way to ensure that we create efficiencies in the logistics sector,” said Mr. Kirschner during the Cape2Nairo hackathon.
Sendy's AI-powered solution aims to reduce the cost of logistics for businesses and significantly improve efficiencies by enabling companies to measure and track all the factors that can work towards offering accuracy and improving reliability in logistics.
