Kenyan musician Akothee has called for a national day of prayer in Kenya, citing the economic hardships faced by many citizens.

According to Akothee, many Kenyans have lost hope and are even contemplating suicide due to the economic challenges.

"I receive many messages from people who have lost hope and are even thinking of taking their lives. The reasons for their desperation are well-known to them. We have sinned, and this year has been a difficult one. Satan will not win," Akothee said.

Akothee also attributed the economic hardships to the country's economic situation, which she said has led to widespread despair among citizens.

"Let us come together and pray for our country. This is a call to unite and worship God. We have been through a lot this year, and we should thank God for what we have been through," Akothee added.
