Published on October 30, 2019, a pupil at Framar Junior Academy in Kirinyaga was chased away from the KCPE exam room, prompting authorities to intervene.
The student was eventually allowed to sit for the exams after Kirinyaga Deputy County Commissioner Daniel Ndege stepped in.
A director and teacher from the academy were arrested on Tuesday and appeared before Kerugoya Chief Magistrate Alex Ithuku on Wednesday morning.
They were charged with obstructing the pupil from sitting for the KCPE exam, which they denied.
The duo was released on Ksh. 50,000 cash bail or Ksh. 200,000 bond and their case will be heard on November 11, 2019.
