On Wednesday, Sarah Cohen's lawyer, Philip Murgor, made an oral application to the court seeking permission for his client to access her Kitusuru home, which she has been barred from entering due to a cash bail of Ksh. 2 million.

According to Murgor, Sarah Cohen has been forced to use taxis to move from one place to another, which is expensive, and has also had to purchase new clothes and shoes, which she wants to retrieve from her bedroom.

However, the prosecution, led by State Prosecutor Catherine Mwaniki, objected to the application, stating that everything in the house forms part of an exhibit and cannot be released to Sarah Cohen until investigations are complete.

Justice Stella Mutuku declined to issue any orders and instead directed the accused to file a formal application, which will be heard next Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has asked the court to prioritize an application on jurisdiction, objecting to Sarah Cohen's move to file supplementary affidavits without seeking leave from the court.
