The Kenyan economy is set to benefit from the entrepreneurial spirit of women, as the Women in Business Awards, scheduled for November 7th, 2019, at the Movenpick Hotel, acknowledge their contributions to job creation and national income.
According to Mary Muthoni, Chairperson of Women in Business Kenya, starting and growing a business can be both rewarding and daunting. The awards aim to celebrate excellence in women in business and inspire others to create and expand the economic atmosphere.
With a difficult employment situation affecting the nation, entrepreneurship is seen as a key solution. By opening doors to new ventures, businesses, and alliances, entrepreneurs can contribute significantly to the growth and development of the economy.
Ms. Mary added, "In order to encourage more women to start businesses, motivate women in business to increase their investment in the sector, and to illuminate innovative best approaches in achieving the four pillars of the government."
Women have the power to shape and transform communities through their purchasing power, leadership, and employment opportunities offered through their businesses.
