On October 30, 2019, Citizen TV bid farewell to Hussein Mohamed, a top news anchor, as he ended his grand stint with the station after 10 years of service.
During his final news bulletin, his colleagues beamed live to bid him goodbye and wish him well in his future endeavors.
Willis Raburu, a colleague, expressed his gratitude towards Hussein, saying, "Unakumbuka tukianza mbali sana na wewe. When I was an intern, you used to drop me home, buy me pizza and make sure niko sawa."
Sam Gituku noted that Hussein is a top journalist because of his integrity, objectivity, and thorough research on topics before interviews.
Francis Gachuri, a senior political reporter, affirmed Hussein's reputation as a thorough professional.
Mike Okinyi, another colleague, praised Hussein's growth, saying, "Your star just rose from there. We knew you were destined for greatness and that is exactly what you have proven to us."
