October 30, 2019, marked a significant milestone in the African creative industry with the launch of Bookings Africa, a mobile app designed to transform the Pan-African marketplace.

Founded by Fade Ogunro, Bookings Africa aims to tackle the issue of unemployment by enabling millions of freelancers to gain recognition, monetize their talent, and build a sustainable career on their own terms.

According to Ogunro, "I believe Africa is the future, yet, the biggest problem we face is unemployment. Bookings Africa tackles this issue by enabling millions of freelancers to gain recognition, monetize their talent and build a sustainable career on their own terms."

The app allows users to create their personal profiles, upload their work portfolios, set their own rates, availability, and manage their businesses better with guaranteed payments.

Currently, Bookings Africa offers over 14 talent categories, including makeup artists, photographers, DJs, hairstylists, and social media influencers, with plans to increase to over 40 categories and expand to other countries across Africa by December this year.

Since its launch in April 2019, Bookings Africa has signed up over 2,000 freelancers and served clients such as Coca-Cola, Anap Jets, May D, Film Factory, and The Luxury Lifestyle Market.
