On October 30, 2019, Kenya Power Pension Fund (KPPF) announced its search for an interior designer for its planned Sh1.4 billion multi-storeyed mixed-use development in Lavington, Nairobi.

The project, which aims to make handsome returns for KPPF members, is located on a 3.13-acre plot within the affluent neighbourhood on Naivasha/Riara Road, close to the Junction Mall, Nakumatt Prestige, Adams Arcade, and Yaya Centre.

According to the tender, only interior design firms with over seven years of experience are wanted to provide details of past projects. The firms will be awarded marks based on the value of their past projects, with those worth over Sh100 million earning seven marks per project.

Additionally, bidders with a professional indemnity insurance cover above Sh50 million will earn an additional five marks, while those having a cover worth above Sh25 million but below Sh50 million get three marks.

Kenya Power Pension Fund had previously invited a private partner to design and fund the development of luxurious residential units and a high-end commercial complex on the plot at a minimum cost of Sh1.4 billion in June 2019.
