On October 30, 2019, Yahoo Sports announced a partnership deal with BetMGM, a leading betting company in the U.S.
The partnership targets Yahoo sports fans in the U.S., with BetMGM expecting increased numbers and a significant market share.
"This partnership marks an important moment for BetMGM in the growing U.S. sports betting sector by integrating Yahoo's leading fantasy sports operations and content with BetMGM's world-class sports betting and interactive platform," said James Murren, MGM boss, in a statement to Yahoo Sports.
As part of the deal, Yahoo Sports will be the official digital media sports partner for BetMGM, and a Yahoo Sports app will be created on Google Playstore and Apple's operating system (iOS) next month.
Transactions will be carried out on the BetMGM platform, offering a range of sports games for betting, including the National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL), football, college sports, baseball, soccer, golf, and tennis.
