On October 26, 2019, a 14-year-old girl from Enomatasiani Primary School was picked up by Police Constable Isaiah Ntita from Matasia Police Post, where she had gone to record a statement against someone else.

However, instead of recording her statement, the officer detained her until late in the evening and then ordered her to accompany him to his house in Ngong, where he resides.

According to the girl's mother, the officer defiled her the entire night, and after the incident, he dropped her near her home on Sunday.

On Monday, the girl identified the officer during a police identification parade in Ngong, leading to his arrest.

Kajiado North Sub County Police Commander Joseph Mwika confirmed the incident, stating that stern action would be taken against the officer.

'We are taking this matter very seriously because it involves a child who is supposed to be focusing on her examinations,' Mwika said.

Meanwhile, the KCPE exams took off smoothly in Kajiado on the first day, with no major hiccups being witnessed.

However, a standard eight candidate from Eroret Primary School had to do her exams at Magadi Hospital after she went into labor and gave birth.
