On October 27, 2019, a disturbing incident occurred in a Huruma estate house in Nairobi, where a 41-year-old man allegedly threatened to stab his house help.

Edwin Munene, the suspect, was accused of hurling abusive words at Mildred Aucho, including calling her a derogatory name, before chasing her while armed with a knife.

The incident reportedly started after a minor dispute arose when Munene began moving items in his sitting room, prompting Aucho to ask him what he was doing.

According to reports, Munene turned violent and ordered Aucho out of the house, leading to the alleged threat.

On October 30, 2019, Munene was charged before a Makadara law court with creating disturbance in a manner likely to cause breach of peace.

Principal magistrate Merisa Opondo presided over the case, during which Munene denied the charges and was released on a Sh30, 000 cash bail.

The hearing of the case is set to start on March 9, 2020.
