Celebrated Anchor Hussein Mohamed Bids Farewell to Citizen TV

Citizen TV journalist Hussein Mohamed bid farewell to his colleagues during his last show on October 30, 2019, after a decade-long tenure at the station.

Managing Director Wachira Waruru led the celebrations, praising Mohamed's hard work, commitment, and integrity.

Politicians from across the divide, including ODM leader Raila Odinga and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, paid tribute to Mohamed, describing him as one of the best interviewers the station has ever had.

Raila Odinga recalled an instance where Mohamed asked him a question that he found irritating, but praised the journalist's persistence.

Other notable figures who sent messages to Mohamed included Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa, MP Sabina Chege, ODM chairman John Mbadi, and Hussein's former boss and Lands CS Farida Karoney.

As Mohamed bid farewell, fans took to social media to wish him well, with many speculating on his ideal replacement.

However, sources inside the media house played coy with the matter, stating that they were not yet sure if Trevor Ombija would take over the show.
