On October 30, 2019, the Al Shabaab militia group launched a surprise attack on Dadajabula Police Station in Wajir County, sparking a fierce gun battle.
Residents in the area reported hearing heavy gunfire at the police station, which lasted for some time.
Despite being outnumbered, police officers at the station managed to resist the attack and hold their ground.
Initial reports indicate that two Al Shabaab members who were being held at the station were killed during the shoot-out.
