Comedian and radio personality Jalang'o has been trending on social media after reports emerged that he had tied the knot with his baby mama, Amina Chao, in a traditional wedding ceremony held in Syokimau last weekend.
However, Jalang'o has come out to clarify that the event was not a wedding, but rather a visit to his in-laws with a few close friends.
Speaking to his friend and cohost Alex Mwakideu, Jalas explained, "Mwakideu unajua siku zote mimi niko na bibi. Watu wengi huwa wananiuliza tu umeoa au hujaoa? Ile hata haikuwa harusi. Ilikuwa tu ni kwenda kwa akina mama na kusalimia mashemeji wangu ndio nikasema nisiende pekeangu, niende na rafiki zangu wachache tu wa hapa na pale. Kikundi nzito inatwa a few good men. Wakaja na msafara pale tu polepole tu alafu kukalipuka."
Jalas further revealed that Ms Chao, who works in the General Trade Visibility and Events department of Safaricom Limited, is the mother of his kids and described her as a chill person who likes to keep a low profile on social media.
"Msijali, me nilioa kitambo, ilikuwa ni salamu tu. Harusi ikiwa ntawaambia. Ama labda hamtajua. Lakini mama ni mama muungwana hana maneno mengi mtandaoni na ametulia sana. Hata wengi walikuwa wanashangaa na huyu ni nani? Tumekuwa naye muda ni mama wa watoto wangu watu hawamjui," he said.
