On 23 October, President Uhuru Kenyatta secured a significant investment during his trip to Russia, securing Ksh700 million for a project in the Nyanza region.
According to reports, the donation will be used to clear water hyacinth in Lake Victoria, which has covered 14,000 hectares.
The Russian Ambassador to Kenya, Dimitri Amaksimychev, stated that Russia's donation was part of its support for Africa's sustainable development.
