On November 8 and 9, the Rallye Sports Club of Nairobi will host the Meru Rally, starting from KCB in Nkubu and with the rally headquarters at the Nkubu Heritage Hotel.

Lawyer Eric Bengi, a graduate of the Abdul Sidi Rally Academy, is looking to revive his big ambitions in the rally after a challenging season in the 2019 KCB Kenya National Rally Championship.

Bengi cited mechanical problems for his failure to finish events, including damaging the engine and gearbox in one event and encountering damaged parts in others.

"It has been a tedious and expensive venture trying to get the car back on to the road," Bengi told Nation Sport.

Despite his struggles, Bengi remains optimistic, saying, "I will try and finish the Meru Rally to revive my big ambitions. It is my wish and dream." Published on October 30, 2019
