On October 29, 2019, a Safarilink plane registration 5Y-SLJ, a Cessna Caravan C208, experienced a tyre burst on landing at Wilson Airport in Nairobi at 6:20 pm.

The aircraft, which was on a flight from Lamu with 10 passengers and two crew members on board, was safely removed from the runway after the incident.

According to a statement from Safarilink, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) team inspected the aircraft and confirmed the tyre burst, with no injuries reported.

This incident comes a day after a Silverstone plane made an emergency landing at Eldoret International Airport after one of its rear wheels detached as it took off from Lodwar Airstrip in Turkana County.
